This probably wasn’t on your 2025 bingo card. Conor McGregor has today spoken to reporters at The White House in Washington DC.

The former two-division UFC champion was invited to The White House on St Patrick’s Day to take to reporters about illegal immigration into Ireland.

McGregor, who has had his fair share of controversy over the years, particularly of late, is said to have been invited to The White House to hold talks with President Donald Trump.

This comes after Trump hailed McGregor as ‘great’ when asked who his favourite Irish person was last week.

The Irishman is said to be meeting with President Trump to discuss matters involving Ireland an illegal immigration.

This comes after ‘Notorious’ tweeted on Sunday 16th March that he was flying to Washington ‘for the most important meeting of my countries future.’

“I am beyond ready. The world will hear Ireland’s call,” said McGregor on social media.

The Irishman took to the podium where he addressed reporters and talked about illegal immigration into Ireland and what needs to be done to combat it.

McGregor’s speech lasted roughly 2-3 minutes, with the majority of the speech spent talking about Irish immigration.

Here are some clips from McGregor’s speech at The White House on St Patrick’s Day, including a rant on immigration into the country of Ireland.

When Will Conor McGregor Return To UFC Action? 1oj3g

With McGregor seemingly involved in Irish politics now and relations with President Donald Trump and The White House, this begs the question of when MMA fans might see the 35-year-old back inside the octagon.

UFC President Dana White has previously stated his confidence that ‘Notorious’ will indeed fight again, but those thoughts aren’t exactly shared by the rest of the MMA community.

The majority of fans feel that the former UFC Featherweight & Lightweight Champion may never compete inside the octagon ever again. However, stranger things have happened.

Michael Chandler and some other names having been mentioned before. It remains to be seen who McGregor will fight if indeed he does return to UFC action.

The best UFC betting sites will likely list McGregor as an underdog on his return to MMA action. That is of course unless he fights someone well below his level. Time will tell what happens regarding McGregor’s potential return.
