Rookie Regina Sirvent Set For ARCA Series Debut
Regina Sirvent has been studying for her ARCA Menards Series debut Friday at Michigan International Speedway.
The Mexico native learned auto racing from her grandfather, Jose, the 1974 Campeonato Mexicano de Rally champion. When Sirvent decided to focus on stock-car racing, she turned her attention to the Trucks Mexico Series, which she ed in 2017.
A 2021 Driver Development program member, Sirvent has also competed in Legends cars and was invited to drive in the annual ARCA pre-race practice before the Daytona 500 in February.
Sirvent will pilot the No. 68 Ford for Rev Racing.
“I’m really, really excited,” Sirvent told ARCARacing.com. “This is a big opportunity for me, and it has been my dream to be in one of the national series since I was a little girl. I have raced NASCAR Mexico and Late Models for a long time, so I feel ready for these new challenges.
“I want to learn as much as I can to go strong into the next one.”
Sirvent placed 13th in qualifying, turning a hot lap of 39.993 seconds.
