What Is Karate Kid: Legends About?
what you’re fighting for.
After his mother (Ming-Na Wen) accepts a new job in America, Li Fong (Ben Wang) relocates to New York City from China. In China, Li Fong studied kung fu under Mr. Han (Jackie Chan).
Being the new kid has its disadvantages, and Li becomes the target of Connor Day (Aramis Knight), the local karate champion.
Despite promising to give up martial arts, Li must defend himself from Connor. This means Li has to enter the Five Boroughs Tournament.
To beat Connor, Li will train under the guidance of two martial artists: Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). Li hopes that combining the two styles will help him prevail in the tournament.
Joshua Jackson and Sadie Stanley also star.
Jonathan Entwistle directs Karate Kid: Legends from a screenplay by Rob Lieber.

After a record-setting Memorial Day weekend, Karate Kid: Legends should provide another hit to the box office.
Initial tracking has Karate Kid: Legends at $25 million to $30 million. However, Polymarket has the movie favored to open to less than $20 million (-186).
A $25 million opening is a huge win for Karate Kid: Legends, which carries a reasonable price tag of $45 million.
Two Memorial Day holdovers, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, should rule the box office again with openings of $60 million and $32 million, respectively.
