Dmitry Bivol took centre stage in Saudi Arabia on October 12th. The rematch then took place four months later on February 22nd, with all four world title belts once again on the line.
The first fight of course went the way of Artur Beterbiev, solidifying himself as the #1 light-heavyweight undisputed king. However, Bivol got revenge in the rematch meaning the scores are now 1-1 with a trilogy now being talked about as the ultimate decider between the two elite Russian 175-pound fighters.
Artur Beterbiev’s record currently stands at a near perfect 21-1, with 20 of these wins coming via knockout. The only man that Beterbiev hasn’t stopped was of course Bivol in their first fight, who happens to be the only man who has beaten the 40-year-old also.

Although the Artur Beterbiev next fight is likely to once again be against Dmitry Bivol, some fans are looking beyond that and who the 40-year-old could fight after the Bivol trilogy, or indeed instead of fighting his fellow Russian for a third time.
One name being mentioned is Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. This fight has been talked about on more than one occasion, and could well come to fruition at the back end of 2025. If so, it could be one of the biggest and best fights of all time.
However, with Bivol winning the rematch with Beterbiev last time out, it makes total sense to run the trilogy late in 2025. However, if this fight isn’t made for whatever reason, then the ‘Canelo‘ fight could genuinely happen.
These seem like the only real logical options for Artur Beterbiev’s next fight. Time will tell if this is the case and whether Artur Beterbiev’s next fight is indeed against the Mexican cash cow, a trilogy with Bivol or if his next fight could even be his last.
