Hakim Ziyech Could Not Thrive at Chelsea

Chelsea secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over underdogs Sheffield United in their quarterfinals meeting at the 2020-21 FA Cup season. Oliver Norwood’s 24th-minute own-goal had pushed the Blues into injury time before Ziyech scored a worldie of an insurance.

The Moroccan winger expertly controlled Ben Chilwell’s cross from the left, perfectly judging the bounce before firing at goal with his left foot. Sublime.

Youri Tielemans and Hakim Ziyech were not the only standout scorers of the 2020-21 FA Cup quarter-finals. Southampton’s Nathan Redmond also scored a belter in the quarters, helping his team to a thumping 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

In the first-half added time, Redmond got on the ball 40 yards away from goal and began dribbling towards the Bournemouth net. The Cherries’ defenders tried to block his path down the middle, but the forward only saw it as an encouragement to be creative. He cut into the box and left Asmir Begovic on the floor before sending an unstoppable strike beyond the goalkeeper and into the top left corner.
