In the previous Grand Prix, in Miami, Lando Norris won the Sprint, thanks to a late Safety Car, while Oscar Piastri dominated the Grand Prix, cruising to the win ahead of his teammate. The weather was unpredictable throughout the race weekend (May 2–4), which meant strategy played a crucial role in the outcome.

As things stand, drivers will have to weather perilous winds in the first Free Practice session, with wind gusts of around 30-40 kmph expected to hit the track from the north-east. There is also a 40 per cent chance of rain on Friday, but it should stop before the sessions commence. Temperatures are expected to hover around 19 degrees during Free Practice One.
In FP2, temps could dip by a degree, with overcast and sunny conditions to take turns throughout the day.
On Saturday, wind speed could be up to 15 kmph, while the chance of rain is expected to be halved to 20 per cent. For both FP3 and Qualifying, the air temperature could be around 20–21 degrees Celsius.
