Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his England squad for fixtures against Andorra and Senegal.

England face Andorra on 7 June in a World Cup qualifier, before taking on Senegal in a friendly at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground on 10 June.

There’s a recall for former Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who makes the squad for the first time since ing Saudi club Al Ahli last summer.

Jude Bellingham is also included, despite the Real Madrid star needing shoulder surgery after the Club World Cup to fix a long-term issue.

There are a number of others selected who will be involved in the new-look Club World Cup, with skipper Harry Kane, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Atletico Madrid man Conor Gallagher.

Fans Divided As Jordan Henderson Announced In England Squad Again 685x61

A name that’s surprised many and divided opinion is Jordan Henderson, though.

The former Liverpool midfielder has been included once again, despite many believing his best years are well behind him.

At 34, the Ajax man is no doubt included for his experience and leadership.

Jordan Henderson is a divisive inclusion in the England squad.

But some fans are perplexed by his inclusion ahead of younger, talents like Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.

One said on Twitter (now X): “Jordan Henderson picked before Wharton is a disgrace.”

Another added: “Can’t believe he’s [Tuchel] not called up Wharton and is picking Jordan f****** Henderson again.”

No Manchester United Or Tottenham Players In England Squad 3m5zm

A glaring omission from this latest Three Lions group is that of any players representing Europa League finalists Tottenham and Manchester United.

Tottenham’s trophy parade is on Friday after a 1-0 win secured their first silverware in 17 years, but that wasn’t enough to get any of their stars included.

With both sides enduring terrible league campaigns, it is perhaps less surprising.

But ers were quick to pick up on the lack of players from either team.

One said via X: “No English man united player? We’re completely finished.”

And a Tottenham fan added: “Solanke literally just won the Europa League, fully deserves it over Toney.”

Ivan Toney Earns First England Recall Since Saudi Move 3d5i5u

Ex-Brentford talisman Ivan Toney has not yet featured in an England squad under Tuchel until now.

The 29-year-old made the switch from south west London to Saudi Arabia last summer, ing Al-Ahli for a reported fee of £40 million.

His last appearance for England was the Euro 2024 final defeat against Spain.

But with 28 goals in 42 appearances, his form has convinced Thomas Tuchel to recall him.

Ivan Toney is a controversial inclusion in this latest England squad.

Toney will be hoping to add to his six England caps, but not every fan believes his inclusion is deserved.

One said: “Toney? Really? Kicked a few balls about in the desert with has beens and never beens and ends up with a call up!

“Really not sure what the current England manager is all about.”

Why Is Jarrod Bowen Not In The England Squad? 2m6qo

Perhaps the most glaring omission from Tuchel’s latest squad is that of West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.

The Irons forward has been in scintillating form, producing 13 goals and nine assists in a struggling side.

But with the 28-year-old due to fly to Las Vegas on Monday for his stag do, speculation is rife about the real reason for the selection snub.

Jarrod Bowen is a surprise omission, but some have speculated as to why.

Bowen is due to marry reality star Dani Dyer (daughter of Football Factory star Danny) at the end of May, and some have suggested the player might have asked not to be included in order to go on his honeymoon.

Whatever the reason behind Bowen’s omission, he will be a big loss for England in their fixtures.
