Aston Villa will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi final, while Nottingham Forest take on Manchester City following the FA Cup semi final draw.

The FA Cup semi-final draw took place after Aston Villa’s 3-0 win over Preston at Deepdale on Sunday afternoon and it threw up some interesting fixtures.

Forest have not reached the semi finals of this competition since 1990/91 and have won the FA Cup twice in their history – doing so in 1897/98 and 1958/59.

Manchester City will be in the FA Cup semi finals once again after beating Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon – thanks to goals from Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush.

The Cityzens have been in the final of the FA Cup for the last two seasons, beating Manchester United in 2022/23 and losing to the Red Devils the following season.

City have won the competition seven times and have reached the semi finals for six consecutive seasons since the 2018/19 campaign.

Guardiola’s side will be going all out in this competition as the FA Cup is City’s only chance of winning silverware this season.
