Kevin De Bruyne has confirmed that he will be leaving Manchester City at the end of the 2024/25 season and the Belgian could be on his way to Saudi Arabia – but how much would the Premier League icon earn?
The Manchester City star has taken to social media to reveal that he will be leaving the club, ending a 10-year career with the Cityzens.
During this time, the Belgium international has won six Premier Leagues, five Carabao Cups, two FA Cups and the Champions League.
His impact on both Manchester City and the Premier League has put him in the conversation for the best midfielder history – contributing to 280 goals in 413 appearances for the Cityzens.
De Bruyne’s contract with City runs out in June of this year, meaning the Belgian will be a free agent for clubs to explore in the summer transfer window.

The Belgian superstar has been one of the best players in the Premier League for just under a decade and this is highlighted by his salary at Manchester City.
When the former Chelsea player ed Manchester City in 2015, he signed a six-year deal and became City’s most expensive g at £55 million.
De Bruyne was reportedly earning £150,000 in his opening two seasons at the club and in 2017, he extended his deal to 2022 which came with an estimated increase to £175,000 per week.
As the years went by, De Bruyne would help city win a plethora of silverware and by 2022 the Belgian was said to be earning £350,000.
It was in 2022 where De Bruyne would sign his latest contract, which runs until June 2025 and since then the midfielder has earned £400,000 per week.

How Much Would Kevin De Bruyne Make In Saudi Arabia? g3z1l
Kevin De Bruyne will turn 34 in June, meaning the chances of a top European club approaching the Belgian this summer are slim.
His performances this season will also add some doubt, as Manchester City have struggled to maintain their dominance and De Bruyne has only contributed to eight goals in 20 Premier League appearances.
Given this decline in quality, the veteran midfielder may be looking for a more relaxed environment which would also bring a gigantic payday.
The Saudi Pro League has grown at a rapid rate in recent years, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante all competing in the league.
A large selling point is the huge salaries that are being paid, with the top 10 highest paid players earning more than De Bruyne is in Manchester.
With that said, De Bruyne is the perfect candidate for Saudi Arabia as clubs will be aware of his free agency and will be willing to offer more in their salary.
De Bruyne’s former Manchester City teammate, Riyad Mahrez, is estimated to be earning over £800,000 per week (3rd highest in the league) meaning the Belgium could be looking at a £1 million weekly wage due to his legacy in football.
It is unlikely that De Bruyne will be offered the £170m annual salary that Cristiano Ronaldo is on, but the Manchester City star may be looking towards Karim Benzema’s £85m a year deal.
