Manchester City defender Kyle Walker’s move to AC Milan is on the verge of being finalised on a two-year deal until 2027.

Earlier this month, City boss Pep Guardiola revealed that Walker had asked the club to explore the possibility of a transfer abroad.

The 34-year-old had previously attempted to force a move out to Bayern Munich two years ago but their offer was deemed insufficient so he stayed in Manchester.

However, this time around it appears a deal is on the table with Serie A giants AC Milan very interested in adding the six-time Premier League winner to their squad.

Fabrizio Romano has reported Milan are advancing to the final stages of the agreement as the player has given the green light to the 19-time champions of Italy.

Walker, who ed City in 2017 for a fee of £45 million from Spurs, was highly regarded as one of the world’s best full-backs over the last number of years, making over 300 appearances for one of the most decorated teams in history.

The England international added a Champions League trophy to his illustrious cabinet in 2023 to go with four League Cups, two FA Cups and a UEFA Super Cup as well as the FIFA Club World Cup last year.

Milan are reportedly willing to offer Walker a contract worth €6 million, which will span over two years until the end of the 2026-27 season. As per the best football betting sites, the club are priced at 2/1 to finish in the top four and could do with more quality hands on deck.

Manchester City have a significantly better record without Walker so far this season and his presence has been considered a liability by some, so it seems a good time to part ways and move on after a dazzling period of success.
