They have signed Matheus Cunha after activating his £62.5 million release clause and are eyeing a top striker. Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres, who recently gave them a boost by rejecting a massive deal, are on their wishlist.

With no European qualification money coming in, Man Utd must fund these high-profile transfers through player sales. And according to Manchester Evening News, Man Utd CEO Omar Berrada has put three high-profile players on their summer transfer list. The club will look to sell Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony, on priority, before deadline day on September 1.

Manchester United value former poster boy Marcus Rashford at £40 million. Antony, who ed the club for around £85 million, could be available for around £32.5 million. And lastly, Jadon Sancho, whom the club signed for £73 million, is priced around £20 million.

If Man Utd manage to generate the £93.2 million they are expecting, they should be able to attract a top striker. However, more departures will be needed to bring in an additional midfielder and goalkeeper, who are also on their wishlist. As per Manchester Evening News, as many as 10 players can leave Old Trafford this summer.

Jadon Sancho, who famously fell out with former manager Erik ten Hag, was the first to leave. He ed Chelsea on loan in August 2024. Towards the end of January, Antony went on loan, ing LaLiga side Real Betis. Days later, Marcus Rashford moved to Premier League outfit Aston Villa.

Sancho played 42 matches for the Blues, scoring 5 goals and providing 10 assists. The 25-year-old chipped in with two goals and five assists in eight matches as Chelsea won the UEFA Europa Conference League. Chelsea are now the only team in history to succeed in all three tiers of UEFA competitions.

Antony did not get as much time at Real Betis, but he made the most of his opportunity. In the second half of the 2024/25 season, he was arguably Betis’ best player, impressing with his goal contributions as well as work rate. The former Ajax man contributed to 14 goals — 9 goals and 5 assists — in 26 games as Betis reached the Conference League final. Chelsea, however, proved to be much superior, as the Blues claimed a 4-1 win.

Due to a hamstring injury, Rashford played only 17 matches for Aston Villa. In 10 Premier League games and just 4 stars, Rashford scored 2 goals and provided 5 assists. He also scored a couple of goals in the FA Cup and chipped in with two Champions League assists.
