Andrew found two winners in his Saturday preview and gets his teeth into two races at Kelso and Doncaster on Sunday, December 29th…
DONCASTER 2.12 5m4k19
MOFASA (system – Paul Nicholls, first-time cheekpieces, finished fourth or worse last time out) y3h27
MOFASA reportedly “never travelled” when pulled up (15-2) in the Badger Beer at Wincanton on last month’s reappearance and might do better now fitted with first-time cheekpieces. Paul Nicholls does well with this headgear on horses who finished fourth or worse last time out, scoring with 38 of the 158 qualifiers since 2010 (24.1%) for a profit of £71.01 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 23.98, A/E = 1.58).
KELSO 2.38 1o3n2a
THEIRSHEGOES (system – Sandy Thomson winter runners) 2h3m1o
Since 2012, simply backing all Sandy Thomson-trained runners in the November to February period would have found 135 winners from 758 bets (17.8% strike-rate) for a profit of £199.85 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 118.38, A/E = 1.14). THEIRSHEGOES, a well-backed 3-1 scorer on this angle at Musselburgh last month, didn’t have the race run to suit when third of five at the same venue next time and can bounce back.
