The fan who was caught up in the Roy Keane argument has turned to social media to reveal his versions of events. 

Sky Sports pundit Keane was left raging after abuse was hurled his way after the 1-1 draw between Ipswich and Manchester United.

Keane’s tirade was caught on camera and he was clearly heard offering the er out in ‘the car park’ minutes after the Portman Road stalemate.

The home spectator reportedly in the middle of it all is Neil Finbow. He posted on Facebook explaining exactly what he said that got the Irishman seething.

The Roy Keane argument took more air time across social media than the game itself. This certainly took the gloss off a fine Ipswich performance against the Premier League‘s greatest ever side.

Marcus Rashford scored the first goal of the Ruben Amorim era after just 81 seconds. Minutes before half-time, Omari Hutchinson hit a fine equaliser for the home side.

As the game concluded, Keane and his fellow Sky pundits began to move pitch side to provide the post-match analysis. Then, the drama unfolded.

Neil Finbow saw his chance and continually poked and provoked the Old Trafford legend. That is when Keane delivered his fiery response.

Finbow wrote on Facebook: ‘New claim to fame. Just been offered out into the car park by Roy Keane after a few choice words.’

He went on to say: ‘Even Jamie Redknapp had to come over to get him away. Just your average Sunday evening out.’

Finbow then went into detail about the heated exchange: ‘I was reminding him that he set us back five years and ruined our football club. I also mentioned how he wasn’t fit to step foot anywhere near our ground [Portman Road].

‘Oh, and I mentioned about him walking out on a World Cup and breaking Haaland’s leg and putting it in his autobiography. I hate the bloke, and that’s been boiling up since he got sacked all those years ago.’

When a fellow Facebook explained that they could see why Keane reacted so angrily, Finbow replied: ‘The truth hurts, mate. I feel sick when I look at him.’

Finbow explained to another comment from his original post: ‘Few home truths thrown at him, he decided to bite. Very unprofessional. I’m sure he had worse when he was playing.’

Keane is considered a legend at Old Trafford after winning a number of trophies during his time with the club. This included the treble in 1999. However, his managerial career was a lot less prosperous.

That included a hostile two-year spell at Ipswich between 2009-2011. Clearly, many fans still hold Keane responsible for the club’s sudden plight.

The Irishman was tasked with leading the Tractor Boys back into the Premier League. Subsequently, that proved too much as Keane was sacked with the club languishing in 21st spot in the Championship.

During his time in Suffolk, Keane oversaw 81 games – winning 28, losing 28, and drawing 25. The Sky Sports pundit later itted he often had issues with sections of the Ipswich fan base.
