When it comes to professional darts, a good barometer of a players performance is their three-dart average.

Over the years darts fans have seen some incredible performances and simply mind-boggling averages. Whether it be at the World Darts Championship or any of the other PDC events, fans have been treated to some truly remarkable performances.

Since his emergence in professional darts as a 16-year-old at the 2024 World Darts Championship, Luke Littler is a man who has recorded his fair share of incredible averages.

The reigning world champion and world ranked number two has posted a whole host of astounding averages in his short yet incredibly successful darts career.

None more so than at Players Championship 5 on Tuesday, 11th March 2025. ‘The Nuke’ was in action in the fifth Players Championship event of the 2025 season, where he was eliminated by Gian van Veen at the semi-final stage.

However, en route to the PC5 semi-final, Luke Littler recorded the fourth highest average in Players Championship history. The 18-year-old recorded an astounding average of 122.96 in his 6-1 victory over Damon Heta.

This 122.96 is now officially the fourth best average in a Players Championship game since records began on DartConnect. Littler’s 122.96 average also makes ‘The Nuke’ just the seventh player in darting history to average 120+ in a Players Championship event since data was first gathered by DartConnect.

The recent 122.96 average recorded by nine-dart finish earlier in the day too.

Although this is an officially recorded average by DartConnect, there is talk that there have been plenty of higher averages that perhaps weren’t recorded.

The data gathered by DartConnect only dates back to 2019, so any averages before that will not officially count. This means that Phil Taylor, Gerwyn Price amongst other players might have recorded higher averages in the past.

That being said, going off the official data Luke Littler‘s 122.96 average at PC5 in 2025 is the fourth highest on record.

Luke Humphries.

Is it any wonder ‘The Nuke’ goes into each and every one of his matches as the overriding favourite with the best UK sports betting sites? He is a phenomenon and has well and truly transcended the sport of darts.
