New Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank is keen on g Bryan Mbeumo from former employers Brentford this summer.
Speculation has been rife that the Cameroon international could be heading to Manchester United, with Ruben Amorim reportedly keen on securing Mbeumo’s signature.
However, new Spurs boss Frank wants to hijack that move and tempt his former player to link up once again, this time in north London.
After being announced as Ange Postecoglou’s successor at Tottenham on Thursday 12th June, it looks like Frank is keen on brining the 25-year-old to Spurs in what would be his first g for his new employers.
During his seven year reign as Brentford manager, Frank g Mbeumo back in 2018 from French club Troyes, before giving the highly touted forward over 200 appearances for the Bees.
The Cameroonian netted 70 goals in 242 appearances in all competitions for Brentford, after g for the London club back in 2019. As Bryan Mbeumo’s stats show, he knows where the back of the net is and has an eye for an assist too.

Bryan Mbeumo Spurs Move Currently In Early Stages f2649
There is a long way to go before Tottenham Hotspur fans can celebrating the arrival of Bryan Mbeumo.
No formal bid has been put in by Spurs and new boss Thomas Frank yet, with Mbeumo’s proposed move to north London in the very early stages of negotiations.
That being said, it has been reported that Spurs have held initial discussions with the 25-year-old over a move across London from Brentford to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Earlier this month, Brentford rejected a formal £45million bid from Manchester United for Mbeumo’s signature. This included a further £10m in add-ons, with the Bees keen on keeping the Cameroon international at the club.
It isn’t just the Red Devils that Spurs will have to beat to the signature of Mbeumo too. There has been further interest in the Brentford winger from other Champions League clubs in Europe including and Spain.
Thomas Frank’s new club Spurs are yet to submit an official bid for Mbeumo, but are expected to do so once the summer transfer window opens again in the next week or two.
If they do go ahead with the bid, there is no official release clause in Bryan Mbeumo’s current Brentford contract. However, he still has a year left on his contract at the Bees with the option for a further one year extension.

It is obvious that Bryan Mbeumo is one of the hottest properties in football right now with a whole host of clubs vying for his signature this summer.
The Cameroonian forward enjoyed a stellar season at Brentford in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign. The 25-year-old made a total of 42 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 20 goals as well as ing nine assists.
In fact, Mbeumo’s 20 goals came in 38 Premier League games, having played in every single game for the Bees last season in the English top flight.
Thomas Frank, who was subject to a £10m compensation demand from Brentford for his Tottenham move, is clearly keen on g Mbeumo a player he managed for over five years at the Bees in both the Championship and Premier League.
It’s clear that Spurs fans will be pleased with the g of the prolific forward, should he put pen to paper and move from west to north London and reunite with his former boss.
